At its recent AGM, the Northern Co-operative Meat Company Ltd released to members the new look Corporate Brand.
The Board and Management have worked with the Ad Agency over five months to create the new look brand.
The Co-op Chairman, John Seccombe said “there were a number of reasons why we decided to change from NCMC. NCMC did not form a succinct or cohesive sounding word and was very hard to say; we wanted to tap into the Co-operatives heritage & location and step into the future with a new name that better defines who we are”.
“We believed the time was right with the resurgence of Co-operatives”
“The enriched colour palate of navy and bone is more professional and provides a sense of warmth, earthiness, trust, loyal, confidence & stability,” the Chairman said.
CEO, Simon Stahl said “our objective has been to create a new corporate brand that recognises:
- Casino as our origin, our history, our story and our community
- Food, given the changing tone of voice in a changing world
- Co-op as our unique proposition which will resonate with our farmers & community
- Since 1933 as being very symbolic to our co-operatives history”
Over the coming month, branding will transition from NCMC to “The Casino Food Co-op” and appear on our signage, social media platforms, promotional material and website as well as in correspondence.
Chairman, John Seccombe “confirmed that the business entities, structure and registered name Northern Co-operative Meat Company Ltd remain unchanged.”
“We look forward to continuing to being a part of our community and hope everybody enjoys the new look.”
